Love love sewing for cool weather. Layering makes such fun outfits! Here I altered a pattern slightly. The alterations are discussed here.. The Voile fabrics used for the dress and the vest lining and hat lining are wonderfully soft cotton voiles from Art Gallery. Caught a steal on that grey fur from a destash page on Facebook and the leggings are purple seamstress cotton lycra solids which is my favorite place to grab solid colors.

The dress pattern I slightly altered is the Driftwood dress and blouse by Twig and tale one of my all time favorite designers. And the sweet little hat is the Pixie hat also by twig and tale. That I made with a lining of Art gallery voile which is what was used to make the ties as well but also the exterior was UPCYCLED from a goodwill 100% merino wool sweater I felted and then cut up to repurpose. I then hand stitched a sweet unicorn on there.

I used the Love notions leggings pattern because it just fits my girls best shape wise. but I did add ruffles to the legs. Plus FREE does happen to be my very favorite price for things.

Now the vest. Most vests you see me make or will see me make happen to be twig and tale patterns but when it comes to fur specifically I am preferring the shaping of the Little Lizard King Madison Vest.
