Halloween draws near... around here that's a big deal. a HUGE deal. It's bigger than Christmas. Because .... COSTUMES! Yeah we don't even trick or treat. Not because we don't agree with the process. We love it, but these kids are allergic to every blasted thing and its kinda hard to explain to a 2 year old why you he can't eat the candy someone just stuck in his bucket. You get this WTF mom look from them. So we do more events.. costume contests, fun like that. Therefore its ALL ABOUT THE COSTUMES! There will be much sewing to be done.
So I am starting!! With this fabulous new add on to the Wild thing Pattern by the brand new TWIG + TALE pattern company. (formerly Big Little Patterns) I love her sweet cape and vest and jacket patterns. SO easy to follow and so simple. No serger required, perfectly easy for someone still learning their way around a machine. The dragon wings and scales are a free add on for all newsletter subscribers. The add on works well with the cape pattern too not just the vest pattern.
Just look at the details we managed! I bought 50 of those cute buttons engraved with out last name. You got it - no need to label their coats and jackets this year!
And the wing detail. So sweet. Don't forget the spikes.. That's his favorite part.
My littlest monster doesn't feel super well today but that did not stop him from posing. Though smiles weren't to be had. Gonna just leave you a nice little gallery of his posing madness lol.
