So this happened tonight. Been wanting to revamp the yard for the kiddos and add a bit of extra fun. The dome went on sale.. it was meant to be.
It actually wasn't nearly as hard to build as expected. Went up fairly easy. Just tedious but we have 17 years of toy building experience so that probably affects our view on it. It definitely wasn't the play kitchen of Christmas 2003 because that was ridiculous and we slept none at all that Christmas eve. NONE.
But once it was fully assembled all except for the hand grips... we realized our ratchet attachment wasn't long enough. Conversation went like this..
Jason : We don't have enough length its not long enough.
Me: So your part isn't long enough?
Jason: Hey
Me: I guess I better go buy longer parts.
Turns out we did not have the tools to get the job done. LOL To attach the grips required a longer ratchet attachment because the nut needed to be put onto a very long bolt. So off to Lowes I went. I found the aisle and yeah that place was a mess so I had a manager find the damn part. Everything was in the wrong freaking place and no way I would have managed to find it in that mess. Plus we were losing light. Tomorrow is Thursday, so playdate day here at the house. Can't have a half assembled play equipment in a yard full of kids.
So, I get home and as it is getting dark of course hubby immediately asks for this fantastically long new tool I had purchased. Well when purchasing it since its still fairly small I just slid it into the side pocket on my purse. So as anyone would do I cram my hand in to retrieve it. Then immediately since I am a complete dumbass cramming my hand into a small chamber of horrors connected to the side of my bag I yank out my hand and yelp, as now there was a lovely fishing hook in my index finger. Why you ask was a fishing hook in the side pocket of my day bag?? Dude I have no idea... Really honestly who knows. That's just how my life works lol.
But.. it was accomplished- completed- put to rest! Good end to a very very long day. I have a 4am alarm to be able to make it to the gym at 5 and my body was all - you wish this morning soooooo at 3:45 ---WIDE AWAKE. Sleep and I simply aren't buddies. Thinking that's never gonna be in the cards for me.
Aside from this I mostly cooked today! Well and took the children to Legobuilding time at the library. But mostly cooked a ton. Nothing new or exciting was cooked just freezing down to store for days when I am unable to get in the kitchen yet still need to feed the troops.
